Blue Lab Beats

Formed in London in 2016, the duo Blue Lab Beats, composed of keyboardist NK-OK (Namali Kwaten) and guitarist Mr. DM (David Mrakpor), practices electronic jazz based on improvisations and samples, influenced by hip -hop, jungle and trip-hop. Their debut album Xover , which was released digitally in October 2017 under their own Blue Adventure Records label, then physical in April 2018, features musicians as young and promising as they are, such as saxophonist Nubya Garcia, pianist Ashley Henry, drummer Moses Boyd and many others. In 2019, the collective successively released the EP Vibe Central with the participation of Theo Croker and Jodie Abacus, then the album Voyage, on which appear musicians of their entourage.
