Karmate is a band founded in July 2008 by Resul Dindar , İsmail Avcı (İsmanaşı) and Oktay Üst . Karmate means " mill " in Laz language . Symbolizing production, labor and mutual aid in the Black Sea region , Karmate has set itself the goal of keeping languages that are on the verge of extinction alive with their authentic structure worth preserving, and uncovering melodies that remain in archives.
