About

King Cobb Steelie are a Canadian indie rock group, whose music fuses elements of punk, funk, jazz and dance. They formed in 1991 in Guelph, Ontario. The core of the band consists of singer/songwriter Kevan Byrne and bassist Kevin Lynn. A variety of other collaborators, including Al Okada, Mike Armstrong, Don Pyle and Michelle McAdorey, have contributed to individual albums. In 1996, the band also toured jazz festivals in Canada with the fusion project Junior Relaxer, a name which also served as the title of a subsequent KCS album.
