Leslie Fish

Leslie Fish (born in New Jersey in 1953; died 29 November 2025) was an American folk musician, author, anarchist and political activist. Along with the DeHorn crew, she was the first artist to release a commercial "filk" recording (Folk Songs for Folk Who Ain't Even Been Yet, 1976) - "filk" music being a mixture of song parodies and original music about subjects like science fiction and fantasy. Her second album (Solar Sailors, 1977) contained the now infamous song Banned From Argo
