Popof

Popof is a French DJ/composer/arranger hailing from the Parisian rave scene. A former member of the free-party underground collective “Heretik System”, Popof has participated, as a solo artist, to countless events throughout the world. Popof is a versatile artist who explores various genres of music. Today, he stresses his preference towards minimal techno and House. One of the most downloaded artists in his category, Popof is in very high demand for his remixes and has worked for famous artists such as Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Moby, BookaShade, Vitalic, Tiga, Maetrik, Martin Solveig and many more. Popof is featured on various labels such as Turbo, A.F.U, Cr2, Mistakes, etc. In 2009, he launched his own label,”Form”, to express his artistic ambitions more freely. He also joined Sven Väth’s label, “Cocoon” in 2011, releasing remixes, EP’s and penning tracks to Cocoon’s compilations. Popof was voted Best Newcomer artist at the Ibiza DJ Awards in 2009 He was appointed official mentor of the Paris Techno Parade 2013's fifteen year anniversary, as a “historical actor and witness of the techno scene in France” (AFP – 14/09/2013). A great honor he shared with ex-Culture minister and techno Parade initiator Jack Lang in front of 300.000 participants Popof Is behind many official advertisements (Synchro ads) for famous international brands.
