hybrid trap

Hybrid trap is a Trap (EDM) subgenre that blends its deep 808 kicks, pulsating, hard-hitting sub-bass, and rolling hi-hats with metallic and complex sound design originally derived from Brostep; brostep sound design traits such as wobbles, growls and LFO synths were some of the early sound design innovations in hybrid trap, which would become much more varied and experimental in the latter half of the 2010s, as it developed further into quirkier and/or more distorted styles.
