Philips-West African-Records
Nigerian sublabel of Philips, existing between 1962 until the mid 1970's and was then renamed to Phonogram Limited. In that period Philips had various studios and record plants in West Africa (primarily Nigeria, Ghana) for recording, production and distribution of local music such as Highlife and Palmwine music. The owning record company was Philips (West African) Records Ltd., incorporated 1963 in Lagos, Nigeria.
