Sony Classical
Multinational label. Label Code: LC 6868 / LC 06868. Sony's classical, crossover, and soundtrack music label. Sony Classical was introduced in April 1990 and was formerly known as CBS Masterworks Records. In the US it is operated by Sony Music Masterworks and in the rest of the world by Sony Classical in Berlin, Germany, except in Japan, where the label was not used until around the year 2020. Please note: Sony Classical is not the same thing as Sony Music which did not exist until the start of 1991. Any release with a company or distribution credit for Sony Music or Sony Music Entertainment is after 1 January 1991.
