Black Swan Sounds (launched in 2011 as an imprint of White Swan Music, Inc.) patrols the cutting edge of yoga music, presenting a full measure of Beats With Devotion. Uplift, positivity and community are the unifying theme in a catalog ranging from ethno dub and organic hip-hop to psychill soundscapes and conscious electronica. Artists include yoga turntable master DJ Drez, the indomitable EarthRise SoundSystem, hip hop pioneer MC Yogi and such global bass phenoms as Desert Dwellers and Adham Shaikh. The original inspiration for the Black Swan project was drawn from the yoga/kirtan/bhakti community’s insatiable thirst for more rhythmic, urban, beat-driven, electronica-infused sounds. Our simple mission is to present music that expresses a high vibrational message that resonates on a universal level, regardless of language. We aspire to put out music that feels good, and makes you want to move.
