CGD East West s.r.l.
CGD was an italian record label founded in 1948 by Teddy Reno solded in 1959 to Ladislao Sugar (already expanded into Suvini Zerboni co. since 1935) who made an agreement in 1969 with CBS to distribute its catalog in Italy. In 1970 merged creating CBS Sugar. After the deal ended, name changed back to CGD (1980) . In 1988 East West Records bought the label & continued its operations creating CGD S.p.A.(a Time Warner Company). In 1995, it changed its name to CGD East West S.p.A.. In 1999 is been used CGD East West S.r.l.. In early 2000's was merged to Atlantic Records.
