American record label from New York, also appears as "Laurie" only. Founded in 1958 by brothers and , and Allan I. Sussel, the founder of Philadelphia's Records. In the early '60s, arranger became a minority partner. For Bootlegs and unofficial releases see . The most successful artists on Laurie were , The Chiffons, and The Royal Guardsmen. Laurie was also the US label for British pop stars . The label also distributed records under several subsidiary labels, including , and others. They are not affiliated with mail-order firm Laurie House, which was owned by . Laurie's name was changed in the early '80s to ; its masters are now owned by the Capitol Records unit of Universal Music Group.
