Villa Lontana Records

Villa Lontana Records is an experimental and independent record label based in Rome, run by Vittoria Bonifati and Michele Ferrari, which focuses on the production of new sounds, from electroacoustic to sonorous poetry and from electromagnetism to field-recordings. The label publishes both archival and unreleased material of the electronic avant-garde and contemporary sound-art scene. VLR responds to the curatorial programme of Villa Lontana, an independent art project space in Rome creating fluid platforms of encounter between ancient and contemporary practices. The programme includes exhibitions, publications and sound projects.
